We can all remember hearing that wonderful voice of our parents. Do this or don't do that. I'm sure you can remember how important their words were to you; how anxious you were to follow through with whatever they commanded. You can envision the smile on your face as they gave you the wisdom and knowledge they have gained through the years.
Not! Even as I know and remember the statements above not being even remotely true, I still expect my children to march to the beat of my drum. To hear me speak and immediately move. Hup Two Three Four.... Right.
Well it occurred to me today that my children are small walking examples of me. The actions they convey when reacting are learned behaviors. What I see them do when happy, sad, frustrated, elated, etc. are telling me the story of how I handle those same feelings. So then, how do they learn them? From me, from you, from the world. But mostly from me.
With that being said, we all have to realize that our children do more of what we do and less of what we say. I repeat, more of what we do, mostly what we do, and less likely what we say. Now that the knowledge has been gained what do we as parents do?
System: Correct wrong actions and behavior with words, then reinforce those words with our own personal actions. Example: I always tell my girls "Don't yell at your sisters!" I am frustrated by the yelling, so I yell ,to tell them not to yell. ( You may read that again if you like.) My voice and my actions must match my words and I must behave how I expect them to behave in EVERY situation.
We can do this. 2 Corinthians 3:5 says "It is not that we think we are qualified to do anything on our own. Our qualification comes from God."
With the help of the Holy Spirit, we can be molded and conformed to the person and parent that God has called us to be. We can renew our own minds that we may be the proper example for our children whom we love so much. When we show them we can do it, they will know they can also do it. Study your Word, study yourself. Apply the Word, change yourself.

What Drives You?

What is your reason for waking up everyday and following the same old routine? What is your reason for your way of thinking? When you think of a good idea, do you act on trying to make that idea a reality? Your ideas that you come up with should coincide with the action that would need to be taken in order to make that idea into a reality. Your way of thinking and your action behind that thinking has a direct correlation to your position in life right now.I ask those questions to you to lead up to these universal, self-evaluating questions: What drives you? What motivates you? If you have a nine to five and your unhappy, what makes you do that routine everyday without exerting some energy somewhere else to change your entire situation? I’ve been around people (and at one point in my life, I was one of these people) who will get up and go through the same motions of life that they do everyday unhappy, miserable, and complaining the whole day about the situation. They never do anything to change their situation; even their state of being uncomfortable isn’t enough to drive them to want a different life and that’s sad. You should never allow yourself to get comfortable with complaining about a situation you feel is uncomfortable.Your drive, your will, and your dream should motivate you to want to be something great. Nobody else is going to get you there but you. Sometimes a situation can look so bad to the point where we convince ourselves in our mind that there’s nothing we can do about it. No effort I put forth will ever get me out of this deep hole I have dug myself into. These kind of thoughts are focus killers. They destroy the positive thought process long before it ever can start. I want to remind you that you have control over your own body, your own mind, and your own actions. That may sound like a statement that did not need to be made; it’s common sense. But you’d be surprised how uncommon that way of thinking is. You have control over your own thoughts. You don’t have to think so negatively. If you used your brain and exerted more energy into trying to make your life better instead of wasting your time complaining, you can be very effective in your lifetime. Change your outlook on life’s situations to the point where you can always see the good in every bad-looking situation. Change your perception. If you can do this, you can change your life completely just through the power of positive thinking, the mental evaluation of your ability to be innovative and creative in order to make a plan of action, and the consistency to follow that plan of action.So again I ask you what drives you? What motivates you? What plan of action are you going to take to help yourself realize your potential? Nobody has control over your future but you, no matter what hand of life you were dealt. Let your motivation drive you to where you want to be in life. Get uncomfortable and then do something about it cause if you don’t, you’ll be another unhappy person complaining about their situation with no action or desire to change it.

No Time
October 15th 2008
Spiritual war fare. The unknown tap on your shoulder. The getting an attitude for no reason. The not knowing why but knowing it is. The world within or around our world. Walking with us. Talking to us. Breathing our air. Using us a vessels to get their own needs accomplished. Here we are, sitting still not knowing what we are full of. And yes we are full of something. The question is not what but who.
Who have you said yes to. Whether verbally said or not a choice has been made. You have chose the almighty Christ or you have chosen the father of darkness. Its either left or right. No in between. If you think you are a neutral then you have also chosen. If you think Heaven and Hell does not exist, you have chosen. IF you think Satan is some made up story, you have chosen. IF you think that all you have to do is be a good person, you have chosen. If you think you only have to forgive certain people, you have chosen. IF you think you can make a choice later, you have already made your choice. Let your yes be yes and your no be no. there is no later. Only the here and now.
False. You have time. The most famous misconception of Satan.
Take your time. You really need to take time to get yourself together.
Truth, You don’t have time. You cant get yourself together yourself or else you would already be together. You need help. Only one person can help you. What better person to fix you than the one with the blueprints. The one who made you in the first place. HE doesn’t need directions. You need direction.
This next month may be your very last. This next week may be your very last. This next hour may be your very last. This next minute may be your very last. This next second may be YOUR VERY LAST.
If your still here to read on. Turn from you evil ways. Confess your sins to GOD. Repent today. Let Jesus know that you thank him for dying for you. Let him know that you believe he rose on the third day. Ask him to come into your heart and make you over again. The potter wants to put you back together again.

I Got IT!
October 14th 2008
First entry of many. Journal that will always begin about absolutely nothing and go who knows where. So here we go.
Today I figured out a life time of trouble and solved it in one prayer. What I figured out was that I was a thief. I stole from my creature. Then I continually asked him to give me more in addition to what I stole. Picture it... A friend of yours comes over and you leave them in a room alone for a few minutes. On your way back in before they can see you, you see them pocket 100 dollars you had in a drawer. You walk in saying nothing. The visit continues then they leave. The very next day they stop by crying and upset and sk if they can borrow some money to pay a bill. Your first reaction is what?
The thought of that money they just stole pops in your head, They have the audacity to come here and ask me for MONEY Wow But here they are and here you are. Very awkward right.
Well the BIBLE says that 10% of our earnings belongs to him. How doesth a man rob GOD? In his tithes and offering.(Malachi 3:8-12) How did I rob GOD? In my tithes and offering. So what happened next. Well for several months every plan I had to make more money failed. Every dollar that came through our home was not enough. Thousands of dollars seem to barely pay the bills. WHY? Spirit of devour. Cursed money. Cursed home. Cursed ideas and endeavors. Save yourself the trouble of trying to figure out where all the money is going. Save your breath when it comes to ideas. Save the ink on your job applications. Save the wear and tear on your knees in prayer. Save the tears of despair. Do yourself a favor. REPENT. Turn from you evil ways and the curse on your finances will be lifted.
Only a few hours after my husband and I got on our knees and admitted out faults did we receive a knock at the door with news a deliverance. You take one step towards GOD and he will take three towards you.
